About the Hireling Generator
Generate mercenaries and hirelings complete with scaling costs, armor, and combat abilities. Perfect for rounding out a small adventuring party or garrisoning a player stronghold.
How to Use This Tool
- Select Lineage: Choose a specific race for your hirelings, or leave it as Random to generate a diverse mercenary company.
- Available Roster Size: Adjust the scale of your generation using the Tier selector. Higher tiers add more retainers to your roster per roll.
- Set Level Range: Adjust the minimum and maximum level of the generated retainers. Higher level retainers will naturally demand a higher daily gold cost.
- Review & Hire: Review their dynamically rolled hit points, armor class, signature abilities, and quirks. If you find a roster you like, save the entire company to your archive!
- Streamlined Stats: Hirelings are designed with simplified stat blocks so they are easy to run in combat. They are intended to only use the specific weapon, signature ability, and prepared spells shown on their card, though DMs have the discretion to allow them to perform other standard actions if desired.
