Narrative & Mechanics Integration Engine

Mundane Realms is a high-fidelity campaign prep and worldbuilding dashboard. It is designed to help Game Masters, fantasy writers, and tabletop RPG enthusiasts procedurally construct rich, interconnected settings, lineages, and operational holdings. The suite outputs ready-to-run narrative and mechanical hooks optimized for high-fantasy systems like D&D 5.2.

The suite operates on an interconnected pipeline, moving from basic names up to complex, populated entities. You can take the output of one generator and use it to drive the theme or leadership of another:

1. Lexicon (Names)

Generates racial names, vocational logs, and designations. Use these as name rosters for your world's NPCs, keeps, and towns.

2. Lore (Relational)

Generates biological family trees (Lineages) and ennobled dynasties (Houses). These define the ruling families and faction alliances.

3. Constructs (Entities)

Generates full interactive keeps and towns. Drop your House leaders in as Governors or Commanders to instantly link power bases.

The generator outputs are structured specifically to reduce session prep time and drive sandbox gameplay:

  • NPC Retinues & Quirks: Every settlement and keep generates a full roster of commanders, governors, and service owners containing distinct alignments and quirks (e.g. "Obsessively polishes armor" or "Obsessed with local weather") to give you instant roleplaying hooks.
  • Economic & Defensive Metrics: Towns show population sizes and local/subsistence scales, while keeps list active defensive values (+DF). Use these to quickly scale military sieges, trade negotiations, or strategic faction targets.
  • Situation Hooks & Rumors: Locations generate dynamic local rumors (biome-specific and general whispers) and complex conflict situations. These serve as instant, pre-made adventure hooks or regional crises for your players to investigate.

Whenever you click "Save to Archive" on any generator, that record is saved directly to your local Archive Hub (accessible in the top-right header). From the Archive Hub, you can view your saved noble houses, garrison rosters, and city profiles in a consolidated database, keeping all your active campaign documents organized in one place.
